Burgundy Lights Brighten George Howard Building To Support Washington Commanders
The George Howard Building will be lit up with burgundy lights through Sunday in support of the Washington Commanders.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The George Howard Building in Ellicott City will be lit up with burgundy lighting in support of the Washington Commanders as they team heads to Pennsylvania to face off on the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC championship game.
The George Howard Building will be lit up every evening beginning at dusk until the Commanders 2024 season comes to an end.
"This football season has been incredibly exciting in the DMV, with Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels breaking the NFL rookie quarterback single season rushing record and being named ‘2024 Rookie of the Year’ and the ‘Offensive Rookie of the Year.' While I may be a Baltimore Ravens fan at heart, I am definitely excited to see what the future holds for the burgundy and gold as a new generation of Washington football has certainly arrived with this Commanders team. With the team being just a game away from Super Bowl LIX, let's all join together to ‘Hail to the Commanders’ as they ‘Raise Hail,’" said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.
