Howard County Blogger Killed at Home
Police say Dennis Lane was stabbed Friday morning.

Howard County police have identified a man found stabbed to death in his Ellicott City home Friday morning as blogger Dennis James Lane.
According to a statement from police spokesperson Sherry Llewellyn, Lane, 58, was stabbed in his home on the 8100 block of Winding Ross Way.
Lane ran Tale of Two Cities, a blog about Columbia and Ellicott City, and co-costed a Howard County podcast "... And Then There's That."

A family member called 911, according to the statement. When police arrived at the home, they found Lane and a 19-year-old male who Llewellyn identified as a "suspect." Lane was pronounced dead on the scene.
The 19 year old is believed to be a family friend. He is currently in police custody, according to Llewellyn, but he has not been charged. Police also have a juvenile female in custody, according to Llewellyn.

Police are still investigating the stabbing and trying to identify a motive.
