Glass Door Broken at The Art Gallery: Howard Co. Crime Round-Up

Columbia: Commercial Break-In

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Sept. 5, an unknown number of suspects broke a front glass door of The Art Gallery, on the 10200 block of Wincopin Circle. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Shortly before 6 a.m. on Sept. 3, an unknown suspect approached a victim near the 9600 block of Norfolk Avenue and displayed a knife, demanding cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled with the money.

Shortly after 11 a.m. on Sept. 4, three unknown suspects scuffled with a female victim at the McDonald’s on the 8600 block of Guilford Road. The suspects stole a watch from the victim during the incident.

Elkridge: Commercial Break-In

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 3, an unknown number of suspects cut a fence and removed a piece of wood to enter a business on the 6500 block of Race Road. Police said nothing was reported stolen.

Columbia: Smash and Grab

Shortly before 3 a.m. on Sept. 3, an unknown number of suspects broke a front glass window of Koko’s Deli, on the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road, stealing alcohol.

Columbia: Commercial Break-In

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Sept. 3, an unknown number of suspects broke a front window of Race Pace, on the 6900 block of Oakland Mills Road, stealing bicycles. Police recovered one bicycle at Jackson Pond.

Ellicott City: Break-In

Between 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 3 and 2 p.m. the following day, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 9300 block of Furrow Avenue, stealing a video game system, games, jewelry and cash.

Columbia: Break-In

Between 10 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 30, an unknown number of suspects ransacked a residence on the 5600 block of Stevens Forest Road, stealing an mp3 player, laptop and cell phone. Between 7 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 2, an unknown number of suspects entered the same residence and stole a television and jewelry. Police said the first case was not reported until the victims discovered the second incident.

North Laurel: Catburglary

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, an unknown suspect entered a residence on the 9000 block of Canterbury Riding. The resident called out, causing the suspect to flee out of the rear of the home.

Columbia: Break-In

Between Aug. 31 and Sept. 3, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear window of a residence on the 9500 block of Kilimanjaro Road. Police said nothing was reported stolen and it is unclear whether entry was gained.

Jessup: Break-In

Between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sept. 4, an unknown number of suspects entered the window of a residence on the 7700 block of Sharewood Drive stole cash from a purse.

North Laurel: Catburglary Attempt

Shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 5, an unknown suspect attempted to open a rear sliding glass door of a residence on the 9000 block of Canterbury Riding. The resident discovered the suspect, who then fled on foot toward Stephens Road.

Columbia: Break-In

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, officers arrived to a burglary in progress at a residence on the 6500 block of Frietchie Row, and arrested two suspects on the scene.

North Laurel: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Sept. 2, a red 2007 Ford Fusion with Maryland tags 5CNX76 was stolen from a residence on the 8000 block of Jenmar Road.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Sept. 2, a 2010 Chrysler Sebring with North Carolina tags ZXJ7124 was stolen from near the intersection of Route 175 and Snowden River Parkway.

Columbia: Vehicle Theft

Shortly after 10 a.m. on Sept. 5, a dark blue Audi A8 was stolen from a residence on the 5400 block of Wild Lilac.
