GoFundMe Created For Teen Found Fatally Shot In Vehicle

A GoFundMe has been created to help with the funeral expenses for a 17-year-old found fatally shot in a vehicle in Columbia.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A GoFundMe has been set up to help with the funeral expenses for a 17-year-old who was found fatally shot in a parked vehicle in Columbia.

Around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 14, Howard County police officers were called to the 6000 block of Helen Dorsey Way for a report of "suspicious circumstances." They found a teenage boy with at least one gunshot wound sitting in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police department. On Jan. 15, the police department identified the shooting victim as Lance Carrington, 17.

The son of Daishelle Carrington and Jeffrey Carrington, loved ones of Lance created the GoFundMe with a goal of $12,000 to help with funeral expenses. Lance leaves behind his parents; a sister, Sydney; a brother, Jordan; and his dog, Queen.
