HoCo Sprinter Named Boys Outdoor Track Field Athlete Of The Year
Oakland Mills High School's Judson Lincoln IV medaled at three sprinting events at state, which helped him earn athlete of the year.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — It's no surprise to many that Oakland Mills High School's Judson Lincoln IV has been named Howard County's boys outdoor track and field athlete of the year. The junior sprinter picked up 10 gold medals at the three postseason meets the school was able to squeeze in this spring at county, regional and state championships.
“I am really excited and happy to win this,” Lincoln told The Baltimore Sun. “I did want to get runner of the year at the start of the season. I’m proud of myself because I set out to achieve this and I did.”
According to The Baltimore Sun, Lincoln actually swept the sprint events at the county championships and regionals, then medaled in all three at state. His personal-best times in the 400-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the 100-meter dash place him among the top six fastest tracksters in Oakland Mills High School history.
