National Recognition Bestowed Upon Howard County Schools Academy Of Finance

The Howard County Public School System's Academy of Finance has been recognized nationally as a Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Howard County Public School System's Academy of Finance recently was chosen a 2025 Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program, the highest level of achievement awarded by NAF, a national education non-profit.

“The Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program recognition is a direct result of the rigorous curriculum, intense soft skill development and the required work-based learning component at the end of the two-year Academy of Finance program,” said Hina Naseem, who serves as the HCPSS Academy’s lead. “We are so proud of our students who successfully complete the Academy by engaging at a professional level, unpacking challenges and problem solving.”

Naseem also credited the HCPSS Academy of Finance’s Advisory Board for its role in the Academy being named Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program.
