Howard County Public School System Changes Schedule For Jan. 8
The Howard County Public School System will adjust their schedule Wednesday after a winter snowstorm canceled school Monday and Tuesday.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Howard County Public School System will open two hours late on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
All morning childcare programs in HCPSS schools, sponsored by the Columbia Association and the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks, will be delayed two hours.
Morning sessions of half-day pre-kindergarten and RECC are canceled. Offices also will open late, according to the school district.

There will not be any morning ARL classes but afternoon ARL classes will be held as scheduled.
If Howard Community College is open as scheduled, HCPSS students who are enrolled at HCC and cannot attend due on Wednesday should notify their professors using their MyHCC email or Canvas, HCPSS school officials said.

Schools officials noted they will reevaluate the late start by 7:30 a.m. and determine if it will change to a cancelation or remain a late start.
