Lane Closures Expected Along US 1 Near Fallston For Resurfacing Project

Drivers should expect lane closures along US 1 near Fallston when crews starting working on a resurfacing project.

FALLSTON, MD — Starting Sunday, drivers should expect lane closures along US 1 so crews can start a resurfacing project along 1.4 miles of US 1 (Belair Road) from MD 152 (Fallston Road) to MD 147 (Harford Road).

The US 1 paving project should wrap up in late April, weather permitting, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration.

Crews will work along US 1 overnights Sundays through Thursdays between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews will start on the northbound side, then work on the southbound lanes. Drivers can expect single-lane closures along northbound or southbound US 1 while work is taking place.

The $1.1 million project is part of an areawide State Highway Administration contract to patch, mill and resurface pavements on primary state highways in Harford County.
