HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

Lily was tragically hit by a car but is ready to be adopted to a loving family who will take care of her and help her along the healing journey. She's already had surgery to repair her broken rear leg and pelvis.

Eight-week-old Moss loves being active and playing with other kitties. After playtime, he'll look for another kitty to curl up next to for a cat nap. Moss loves affection but is still getting used to things that move and adjusting to new sounds.

Ten-year-old Artie happens to be quite laid back and easygoing. He enjoys people and will seek out attention. Other times he'll just chill in the windowsill. He'd do best in a quiet adult home or one with older children who know when to give him his space.

Described as playful and happy, Jax is loving and affectionate. He will need a bit more training from his new family and bonds quickly. He does grow alarmed quickly when someone raises their voice or he thinks he's in trouble, so he'll need a family that will show him they can be trusted. He loves car rides and chasing squeaky toys. he isn't used to other dogs, so this 1-year-old mixed breed sweetheart would need a special visit with another dog.

Sara is an awesome young dog waiting for her forever home. One of the things volunteers do at the shelter to keep the dogs stimulated and happy is to allow them to use their noses to find treats in the ball pit. It builds confidence and lets them use their noses and brains. Sara enjoys this activity but really can't wait to head to her forever home.
