Man Found Dead In Woods After Being Reported Missing

CLARKSVILLE, MD — A man reported missing Dec. 4 has been found dead in the woods two days later, authorities report.

Mohammed Halawa, 26, was last seen leaving his home on foot in the 5900 block of Trotter Road around noon. Family members and police reported being concerned about Halawa due to health concerns and freezing temperatures. He had left his home without his medication and wasn't dressed for the weather, nor did he have a cell phone with him, the Howard County Police Department reported.

On Dec. 6, the Howard County Police Department stated that Halawa was found dead in a wooded area by a search time at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. There were no indications of foul play, authorities reported.
