New Sidewalk, Signage Proposed Along North Laurel Road In Howard County

A proposed sidewalk to be created along North Laurel Road between Linville Avenue and US 1 southbound will be discussed at a meeting.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The public is invited to attend a community meeting Jan. 27 to discuss plans to install a new sidewalk and upgrade a portion of the water main along North Laurel Road.

The new sidewalk, part of Capital Project K-5063, aims to create safer travel paths for local commuters, bicyclists and pedestrians along the Route 1 corridor between Linville Avenue and US 1 southbound.

As part of the county's Complete Streets policy, the project's proposed design includes creating a sidewalk, new signage and roadway striping, and installing new storm drainage, stormwater management facilities and landscaping along the planned sidewalk.
