HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

Lewis is the cutest mixed breed puppy who is medium-sized and 11 months old. He loves his people and will patiently lay at your feet if you're busy. He can be nervous and scared in new situations, so he'll look to his human for reassurance. He's quite playful and has enjoyed playing with other dogs. Lewis is learning puppy manners and is ready to continue his training with his new human.

Eleven-month-old Tucker also is a mixed breed dog who's incredibly affectionate. He loves being told he's a good boy and is eager to learn new things. He'll need to continue with his puppy training when he goes to his forever home. Tucker does get nervous in new situations, so he'll need reassurance. He enjoys playing with other dogs and deserves loads of love and devotion.

Two-year-old Rocky, a Beagle, happens to be quite sweet and laid back. He adores attention and loves being close to his person. He's curious and his hound-nose will lead him on adventures if he can escape a fence, so he needs to be closely supervised when outside. Rocky's a smart fella and is doing wonderfully in doggie training. If you're looking for two puppers, Rocky is at the shelter with his Beagle buddy Phoebe.

Two-year-old Phoebe is quite docile and incredibly sweet. She can be shy at first, but needs someone to show her she is safe. She's laid back and loves attention along with belly rubs. She'll need to be supervised when outside, even in a fenced yard, because she will wander. She's doing wonderfully with her doggy training and rides well in the car. She's at the shelter with her buddy Rocky, another beagle, in case you're looking for two awesome dogs.

Six-month-old Hamlet is friendly and will approach you for treats. He prefers having a large cage where he can burrow in the bedding. He'll even snatch up his treats and take them to his special hiding spot for food. He doesn't mind being handled and loves cardboard boxes and tunnels.

A Kelpie/husky mix, two-year-old Kendell is gorgeous and smart. She'll make direct eye contact with you while waiting for the next command or direction. She's treat-motivated and vocal. She can get excited and a bit silly, and she'll nibble a bit so she may be too much for young children.

A lovely, affectionate American Staffordshire Terrier mix puppy named Sage who is 8 months old prefers to be with her people. Sage happens to be quite loyal, is playful and crate-trained. She even knows a few commands and is doing well in her puppy manners training. She'll be wiggly and ecstatic when you arrive home. She prefers to sleep in bed with her human and has done well around other dogs and even a calm cat. She will retire her new loved one to own his or her own home.

Five-year-old Camo is a laid back hound mix. A medium-sized dog weighing in at 50 pounds, Camo possesses a loyal, sweet and loving personality. He'll sit right next to you and physically lean on you when he's unsure. He previously lived with children and another dog, plus he rides well in the car and loves running around the yard playing with his dog brother. He's crate trained and loves to explore. He is at the shelter with his brother Zeke in case you're considering adopting two dogs.

Zeke's a 5-year-old neutered beagle mix who has a sensitive personality and is quite smart. He listens really well when in training and is crate trained. A smart boy, he loves to run around with other dogs and rides well in the car. Zeke is at the shelter with his brother Camo in case you are looking to adopt two dogs.
