The planned enforcement will take place both day and night leading up to Memorial Day.

In addition to seatbelt enforcement, police will also have a "saturation patrol" that will seek out impaired drivers.
Police reminded residents that they have a "zero tolerance" policy with those who do not wear seat belts. In addition, police asked citizens who plan on driving over Memorial Day not to consume alcohol, or make sure to designate a sober driver before doing so.
