Sidewalk Installation Project Along Mission Road In Jessup Prompts Temporary Lane Closures
A sidewalk installation project underway along Mission Road in Jessup requires temporary lane closures, officials said.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A construction project to install a stretch of sidewalk along Mission Road from Guilford Road to Dorsey Cove in Jessup has started. Weather permitting, the project should be wrapped up by late July 2024.
"Expanding neighborhood connections makes our community a happier, healthier and more vibrant place for all. Over the last five years, we have grown our county investment in multimodal transportation to more than $50 million, supporting essential projects like this one. This critical project will fill in a missing sidewalk link along Mission Road, better connecting nearby residents and students to Guilford Park High School," said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.
Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic, since temporary lane closures will be needed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
