Store Employee Assaulted + Tools Stolen + Tires Swiped + Dirt Bikes Taken: Police Report

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Several businesses were robbed and burglarized Oct. 18-21, according to the Howard County Police Department.

In the overnight hours Oct. 18-19, unknown suspects gained access to O'Donnell Metal Dock, located in the 5600 block of Main Street in Elkridge, and stole construction tools.

On Oct. 19 around 11:15 a.m., a Nordstrom store employee told police that when he confronted a man suspected of stealing merchandise, the man assaulted the employee and took off. No serious injuries were reported from the incident, which happened at the Columbia store located in the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway.

A man reported being approached by another man who had a knife. The suspect stole the man's cell phone then took off. No injuries were reported. The incident happened Oct. 20 around 4:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of Dobbin Road in Columbia.

A suspect(s) forced open the doors at Oscar's Alehouse in the overnight hours Oct. 20-21. The owners weren't sure if anything was stolen from the business, which is located in the 10700 block of Birmingham Way, Woodstock.

In that same timeframe, a suspect(s) forced open the doors of Your Wine & Spirit Shoppe and stole cash, alcohol and tobacco products. This business is located in the 10800 block of Birmingham way, Woodstock.

In Jessup, an unknown suspect(s) cut a lock to access the property at Columbia Fleet Service during the overnight hours Oct. 20-21. Police reported that it was unclear if anything was stolen. The business is located in the 7600 block of Assateague Drive.

An unknown suspect(s) pried open the door of a home located in the 8700 block of Town and Country Boulevard in Ellicott City Oct. 18 and stole cash. The incident happened between 8:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Numerous vehicles were broken into and items stolen from Oct. 18-Oct. 21 in Elkridge:

• 6200 block of Green Field Road, Oct. 18-19 overnight, battery jump box
• 6000 block of Rock Glen Drive, Oct. 18-19 overnight, nothing reported stolen
• 7100 block of Daniel John Drive, Oct. 19 5:30 a.m., wallet
• 6300 block of Washington Boulevard, Oct. 19 7:45-8:10 p.m., various items
• 7300 block of Montgomery Road, Oct. 19-20 overnight, wallet
• 5500 block of Pintail Road, Oct. 19-20 overnight, nothing reported stolen
• 6000 block of Old Washington Road, Oct. 20-21 overnight, change, knives
• 6100 block of Old Washington Road, Oct. 20-21 overnight, tools
• 7200 block of Darby Downs, Oct. 20-21 overnight, nothing reported stolen
