Coffeehouse, Restaurant Chain Wants To Enter MD Market With 10 Sites

Canadian company Tim Hortons wants to enter the Maryland market and is searching for potential sites in Howard and Carroll counties.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Tim Hortons plans to open ten locations in Maryland, its first stores in the state, and its parent company is searching for the best spots for expansion.

An international coffeehouse and quick service restaurant chain based out of Canada, Tim Hortons is eyeing Howard and Carroll counties for its next 10 sites, specifically freestanding buildings with drive-thru capability or high-traffic endcap spaces. Each new location will follow the brand’s standard 1,600-square-foot layout, featuring an indoor dining area.

“We’re excited to bring Tim Hortons to the communities of Howard and Carroll counties,” said Kyle Corman, senior real estate manager at Tim Hortons, in a news release. “Our Maryland expansion reflects a commitment to growing in markets where guests are looking for great coffee, convenient drive-thrus and warm, welcoming spaces.”
