Traffic Delays Expected Along I-95, U.S. 29 For BGE Electrical Line Project
Drivers should expect traffic to be stopped for up to 15 minutes at a time between 4 and 8 a.m. this Sunday along I-95 for a project.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Drivers should be aware of upcoming temporary closures along I-95 Sunday when BGE crews will be shutting down the road for 15 minutes at a time to install new overhead lines.
According to the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration, BGE crews will be shutting down the road in both directions starting at 4 a.m. Sunday and ending around 8 a.m. to install the new overhead lines. Closures can last up to 15 minutes for each stoppage.
Similar closures will be needed Jan. 18 along U.S. 29 between MD 108 (Clarksville Pike) and MD 175 (Rouse Pkwy.) for similar work. Traffic again will be stopped along U.S. 29 for up to 15 minutes between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.
