U.S. 1 Reduced To One Lane Starting Nov. 27 For Road Project In Howard County
A road improvement project along U.S. 1 between MD 32 and MD 175 in Howard County will require lane closures starting Nov. 27.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Starting Nov. 27 at 8 p.m., crews will close one travel lane of U.S. 1 (Washington Boulevard) between MD 32 (Patuxent Freeway) and MD 175 (Jessup Road) to start a pavement improvement project.
The three-mile road project should wrap up by mid-December, weather permitting.
Work will take place Sundays through Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. The project will involve the ramps at the U.S. 1 and MD 32 interchange. Only one ramp will be closed overnight. The detour will direct drivers to the next exit on MD 32 or U..S. 1 to turn around and access another exit ramp at the interchange.
