Zar Eletrik Headlines Free AMPED in the Part Concert Thursday, Aug. 21, Band Pays Homage to Tribal Cultures
Summer series in Merriweather District, Downtown Columbia, includes live music, food, drinks, and activities for the whole family

Zar Eletrik headlines the Merriweather District’s free Summer Series Thursday, Aug. 21, at Color Burst Park in Downtown Columbia. The band pays homage to tribal cultures, particularly through the incorporation of the ancient Zar ritual originating from Ethiopia and Egypt.
The AMPED in the Park sessions include live music, food, drinks, and giveaways. Activities begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m.
On Sept. 4, Butte & Friends, a revolving lineup of Mid-Atlantic musicians, close out the summer series. Band leader John Butte is best known for his work as bassist and vocalist for DelMarva's renowned Grateful Dead Tribute - Better Off Dead.

All Summer Series events are free and open to the public. Color Burst Park is located at 6000 Merriweather Drive in Columbia. Onsite parking is ample and free in the Symphony Woods Garage. You must be present to receive giveaways.
