Board to Vote on Crofton School Redistricting
The plan to move some students out of Nantucket Elementary School has been endorsed by parents and Superintendent Kevin Maxwell.

The Anne Arundel Board of Education will vote next week on a redistricting plan for schools in Crofton.
The plan, which was presented to the board by parents involved in a special redistricting committee, seeks to address overcrowding at Nantucket Elementary School. It has received the endorsement of Superintendent Kevin Maxwell.
Under the plan, an estimated 113 students will be moved from Nantucket to Crofton Meadows Elementary for the 2014 school year. The plan would also move approximately 59 students from Nantucket to Crofton Elementary in 2015.
