• Anne Arundel School Board Violates Open Meetings Act (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Families in Crofton should know that Anne Arundel’s Phase 2 redistricting plan, already approved, will move students primarily in Crofton to ease overcrowding at Crofton Elementary and Nantucket Elementary. A state compliance board also ruled the school board violated Maryland’s Open Meetings Act during earlier redistricting deliberations, prompting promises of tighter transparency rules before more budget and policy decisions in 2026.
