Kristen Sullivan completed the Boston Marathon just moments before she saw explosions go off near the finish line. She was not hurt.

A runner from Crofton was among those who completed the Boston Marathon on Monday before witnessing large explosions near the finish line.

Kristen Sullivan told Patch via email that she was safe, but described the incident as a "complete shock and tragedy." Three people have been confirmed dead and more than 140 were reportedly injured in the blasts, according to the Boston Globe.

"Shortly after I finished the bombs went off," Sullivan said. "I saw them as I was collecting my post-race snacks and bag."
