Wanted: Arts and Crafts Store in Crofton
Crofton residents spoke up, and their top retail requests seems to be an AC Moore, Michael's or similar outlet.

On Monday, we asked a very simple question to the people of Crofton: what stores or restaurants would you still like to see in town.
Residents responded in startling fashion, writing more than 150 comments on Crofton Patch and on its Facebook page.
The most popular request: a crafts store.

Dozens of people—mostly women, but not all—voiced their support for a store such as Michael's, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby or JoAnn Fabrics to move into town. I guess there's a passion in Crofton for quilting, scrapbooking and other creative fun.
For the record, there is a store in town to serve the crafting community. Tomorrow's Treasures on Priest Bridge Road specializes in the sale of quilting and sewing equipment and supplies. But some readers said the store didn't satisfy all of their crafting needs.

There is a Michaels and an AC Moore in Bowie, but that was a bit too far to drive for some readers. There is also a Hobby Lobby in Laurel and a JoAnn Fabric in Severna Park and in Annapolis.
