BCPS Dancers To Appear In Virtual Dance Concert June 2

The event, "Maryland Dances! A Statewide Dance Sharing," will be available online on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features BCPS kids.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The 2020-2021 All-County Honors Dance Ensemble of Baltimore County Public Schools will be featured in a virtual dance concert hosted by the Maryland State Department of Education’s Fine Arts Office.

The event, “Maryland Dances! A Statewide Dance Sharing,” will be available online on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free virtual tickets can be reserved online.

“2021 is a special year for the All-County Honors Dance Ensemble as it marks the 15th anniversary of this ensemble,” Sonia Synowski, BCPS dance resource teacher, said. “We are so proud of our Honors dancers who were committed to excellence for every rehearsal and who are wonderful representatives of Baltimore County Public Schools.”

Since its inception, the ensemble has been directed by Stephanie Powell, dance teacher at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology. Madison Bonaparte, dance teacher at Middle River Middle School, serves as the ensemble’s assistant director.
