Here are some tidbits of information to get your week in Dundalk started:

1. The Weather: Monday might be the only day to enjoy outdoor activities this week, according to the National Weather Service. Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high of about 80 degrees. The chance of rain begins after 2 a.m. Monday night and then there's a chance of rain showers and thunderstorms through Friday.

2. From history.com's This Day in History: "On this day in 2002, the rusty iron gun turret of the U.S.S. Monitor broke from the water and into the daylight for the first time in 140 years. The ironclad warship was raised from the floor of the Atlantic, where it had rested since it went down in a storm off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, during the Civil War. Divers had been working for six weeks to bring it to the surface."

3. National Night Out is celebrated the first Tuesday in August each year. Communities throughout Greater Dundalk will be holding outdoor events designed to keep an eye on the neighborhood and foster relationships within the community.
