Alcohol a Factor in Double-Fatal Accident
The Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore said one of the drivers involved, Stephanie Banchero, was under the influence of alcohol.
One of the drivers from April’s double-fatal accident in Davidsonville was under the influence of alcohol, according Anne Arundel County police.
On April 9, a head-on collision on Route 424 in Davidsonville killed two women—Stephanie Banchero, 26, of Gambrills, and Mary Corkill, 70, of Davidsonville.
In the days that followed, police of the accident. Police said Banchero drifted off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and caused her car to move across the double yellow lines and into oncoming traffic.

Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy confirmed with Patch that Banchero was under the influence of alcohol and that the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office found Banchero’s blood-alcohol level above the legal limit.
