Woman Seeks Community's Help in Recovering Stolen Saddle

Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch reader Kelly Proctor is asking for the community’s help in recovering a horse saddle that she says was stolen from her Thursday morning.

The saddle, specifically a children's “Rodriguez Pessoa Pony” saddle, is about 15 inches and in good condition.

“Black cap above knee rolls on the right side fell off, (leaving only a gold bottom) and had a black stirrup wraps for the bottom, children’s safety stirrups (if the stirrups are still on), a Pessoa plaque on the back,” Proctor wrote to Patch.

The local woman said a black ARIAT bag full of show items was also taken.

“My little sister and 4-year-old daughter are devesated, as they were looking forward to showing this weekend and can’t do without their equipment,” Proctor said.

Proctor reported the incident to Anne Arundel County Police by filing a homeowners claim due to the high cost of the item, she said.

If you know of somebody who is selling or recently acquired such a saddle, or other show items, Kelly asked the community to contact her at 443-204-6926.
