Annapolis Man Dies, 2nd Hurt In Rollover Davidsonville Crash: Police
An Annapolis driver was hurt and his passenger was killed when their vehicle hit a tree and rolled over in Davidsonville, police said.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — An Annapolis driver was hurt and his passenger was injured when their vehicle hit a tree and rolled over Sunday in Davidsonville, Anne Arundel County Police said.
The single-vehicle accident happened about 12:30 p.m. along Defense Highway (MD Route 450) near St. Stephens Church Road.
Investigators said a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000 driven by Suandin Gregorio Lopez, 22, of Annapolis was eastbound on Defense Highway about half a mile east of St. Stephens Church Road when Lopez lost control of the car on a sharp curve in the road and struck a guardrail.

A police report said the Mitsubishi vaulted over the guardrail and struck a tree. The vehicle continued and finally came to rest on its roof in a marshy area adjacent to the North River.
Lopez was able to get out of the vehicle on his own and was later taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the police news release said.

His passenger — Darwin Jose Centre Lopez, 29, of Annapolis — was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. The victim's body to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
