Boater's Body Recovered Sunday Morning
Man had fallen overboard Saturday night. Crews returned to search Sunday morning and located the body.

EDGEWATER, MD — The body of a missing boater was located Sunday morning, more than 12 hours after he had fallen overboard, according to Anne Arundel Fire Department.
Crews had first responded just after 7 p.m. Saturday regarding a missing boater in the area of the South River near Shelby Bay.
The man has been identified as Joseph Rossi, 47, of Edgewater. He reportedly jumped off the boat to retrieve a hat and never resurfaced, according to the fire department.

Boats from the Anne Arundel County and Annapolis City fire departments searched the water, along with Natural Resources Police boats and a Maryland State Police helicopter.
The search was suspected Saturday night after four hours, and resumed Sunday morning. The body of the boater was recovered just after 10 a.m.
