Convicted Pavement Scammer to be Sentenced Wednesday Afternoon
Tommy E. Clack's initial sentencing date was postponed so he could gather funds to pay restitution to local residents.

An Anne Arundel County Circuit Court judge is scheduled to sentence the man convicted of scamming local residents into overpriced pavement jobs in Davidsonville and other parts of region on Wednesday afternoon in Annapolis.
In a release from the Anne Arundel State’s Attorney’s Office, Tommy E. Clack, 40, of Annapolis, will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. for his role in a paving scam.
“[Clack] would typically target older citizens and frequently gave estimates that were significantly lower than the final bill he would provide his victims,” according to the release.

Back in March, without a license and selling home improvements without a license. Both before and after he pleaded guilty, Clack committed similar crimes not only in Anne Arundel County, but also in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Queen Anne’s and Prince George’s counties, Anne Arundel State’s Attorney spokeswoman Kristin Fleckenstein told Patch.
The press release stated that Clack’s initial sentencing date was postponed so that he could gather more funds for restitution to the victims in Anne Arundel County cases.

“The Attorney General of Maryland issued an order requiring Clack to pay over $200,000 in restitution to 16 individual consumers in Maryland as well as $290,000 in penalties and court costs,” Fleckenstein said in the release.
