Fatal Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized In Anne Arundel County: Police

A fatal crash in Davidsonville left one dead and two in critical condition, police said. One of the hospitalized victims is 15 years old.

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — A Davidsonville crash left one dead and two in critical condition on Tuesday, county police said.

Officers have not yet identified the deceased male.

The single-vehicle collision happened around 1:30 p.m. when a 2012 Ford F250 Super Duty was heading east on Central Avenue toward Queen Anne Bridge Road, authorities said.

A press release said the pick-up truck crossed into the westbound lane, left the roadway, hit a tree and caught fire. Investigators don't know what caused the crash.

The Maryland State Police Aviation Command flew the 38-year-old driver to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, officers said. Authorities listed him with life-threatening injuries.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department took the 15-year-old backseat passenger to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, police said. Officers also listed him with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said the front-seat passenger was trapped in the truck and pronounced dead on the scene.
