Heat Relief in Sight, How Did You Cool Off This Week?
A cold front should bring cooler temperatures to the area by late Saturday afternoon.

It seemed like everyone in Maryland was talking about one thing this past week—the heat.
Throughout the week, heat indexes soared to 100 degrees and higher in Edgewater, Davidsonville and south county. There is some good news though—relief is in sight.
According to weather.com, a cold front should come in late Saturday afternoon, and will bring cooler temperatures to the area on Sunday. As of Friday afternoon, weather.com is calling for a high of 84 degrees in Edgewater on Sunday, which is considerably cooler than it has been.
One heat wave may be behind us, but seeing as it is only July, another one is most likely headed our way before the end of summer. Where around town do you turn to cool off?
You can enjoy frozen treats at Sweet Frog, Rita's, Cold Stone and Honey Hive. But is there someplace else you like to frequent when temperatures soar? Tell us in the comments.
