'Lingering Odor' Forces Students to Evacuate South River High

The students were outside Friday morning for about 30 minutes as firefighters searched for the odor.

students evacuated the building Friday morning after a lingering odor was detected coming from a chemistry lab.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) spokesman Bob Mosier said the evacuation was “precautionary” and that students were outside the school from about 8:15 to 8:45 a.m.

“Everything is fine now, the kids were outside for about a half-hour,” Mosier said.
