Local Golf Tournament Set to Benefit Summit School

The 8th annual tournament at the Golf Club at South River will benefit the local private school.

An annual tournament at the will look to boost funds for The Summit School in Edgewater this fall.

Known as “Summit,” the private school focuses on children from first through eighth grade with dyslexia and other learning differences with a focus on fostering literacy and interactive learning.

The Capital reported this week that the 8th annual tournament—scheduled for Oct. 15—will include a day of golf, contests, lunch a lot more. Parents, alumni and golf lovers are each encouraged to participate in the special event.

The registration fee is $160 and includes the tournament and lunch from The Steakhouse, The Capital reported.
