Mark Your Calendars: Dates, Deadlines for High School Students

With July winding down, the start of school is fast approaching, and the beginning of the fall sports season will be here before you know it. 

To help you keep track of upcoming dates and deadlines at Southern and South River High schools, here's a rundown of some things to know: 

Fall Sports:

For Southern High School, registration will take place at the school on August 5-7 and 12-13 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

South River High School will host a fall sports meeting on August 12 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. 

Tryouts begin on August 14 for both schools.

Senior Parking Permits at Southern 

Applications for student parking permits will be processed on August 13 from 8-9:30 a.m. and August 15 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Students need to attend a safe driving worksop offered on August 13 at 10 a.m. or August 15 at 1 p.m.
