Authorities said a dog received first aid when firefighters were called to a house fire in Parkville. Crews from Perry Hall, Hillendale and Fullerton found the dog hiding under a bed while searching the home on Alden Road, as reported by officials.

Don't Return Calls From These Area Codes: 'One Ring' Phone Scam Resurfaces
A common phone scam known as the "one-ring" scam has resurfaced, the Federal Trade Commission is warning consumers. The ruse attempts to trick consumers into returning a missed call — and racking up charges — by calling cell phones and letting them ring once. According to the FTC, the scam tends to resurface every few years.

Drug Raids Seize $6K In Heroin, $12K In Cash; 4 Charged
A man from Glen Burnie and three Baltimore men face multiple drug trafficking and weapons charges after three drug raids reportedly turned up about $6,000 in heroin, roughly $3,600 in crack cocaine, and nearly $12,000 in cash from drug sales. The county's Heroin Task Force began investigating heroin distribution at several locations earlier this month in Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County.
Residents that live in the Victoria Heights, Yorktown, or Overbrook neighborhoods can sign up to be the first in the City to participate in a new food waste collection program. Food waste — which is uneaten food typically thrown in the trash and includes banana peels, apple cores, egg shells, coffee grounds and bones —accounts for about 20 percent of all waste collected from Bowie households.
Havre de Grace To Rededicate Tydings Park War Memorial
To recognize the updates made to the Tydings Park War Memorial, the city of Havre de Grace is planning a rededication ceremony. The event will also coincide with the centennial of World War I. In the beginning of the year, the city made improvements to the park off Commerce Street. Among the updates were the installation of a stone wall, stone walkway, star design, uplighting and wing walls.
