More Strong-To-Severe Thunderstorms, Heat Loom In MD Forecast
Heat and humidity that will make it feel like 100 degrees and more thunderstorms are in the forecast for a soggy Maryland this week.

Heavy rains Monday night caused street flooding in Annapolis and Ellicott City, while four people were rescued from floodwaters on Bowleys Lane in Baltimore, WJZ reported.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the state due to scattered instances of flash flooding possible Tuesday afternoon.

"Humidity levels will remain at the top of the scale today, but we're looking at drier weather compared to Monday," WJZ said. "Any storms this afternoon should be rather sparse and they won't have the momentum of Monday's storms."
Heat index values of up to 100 degrees are expected by Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. It advises residents to limit outdoor activities during the middle of the day, drink plenty of fluids, and stay in air conditioning when possible.

Thursday will be the hottest day of the upcoming week with high temperatures climbing into the mid-90s, WJZ said. When the heat is combined with the very high levels of humidity the heat index values will climb to between 100 and 105 degrees.

Wednesday: A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 101. South wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 80. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
