Pitcher Throws No-Hitter Against Southern Dawgs

Kenny Amaker struck out 13 and only walked one on Tuesday night at Riva Park.

The Southern Dawgs club baseball team were shutout Tuesday night after an RBI Rats pitcher threw a no-hitter, striking out 13 and giving up one walk.

RBI Baseball Director John Pineau said the game went right down to the wire at Riva Park against the Dawgs, ending with a final score of 3-0, favoring the RBI Rats. After the game, umpires and Southern coaches surrounded RBI U-19 pitcher Kenny Amaker for the impressive outing.

The no-hitter was the second of the year for the Rats, following Edgewater’s Jeremiah Boston who threw 14 strikeouts and allowed no hits back in July.

Pineau called Amaker a “monster pitcher” following his 7-inning outing.
