'Plunge' Fundraisers Let Goat Inside School to Raise Money

South River High’s Polar Bear Plunge fundraising superstars apparently brought an earless goat into the school Thursday to raise money for the annual event.

According to various tweets by students at the school, an “earless goat” was wandering the cafeteria as a way to increase funding for the South River SnoHawks—the school’s primary Polar Bear Plunge team.

So far, the SnoHawks have raised approximately $12,000, nearly half their goal, and recruited 343 members to the team.

However, it seems in an effort to get closer to their final goal of $25,000, someone brought a goat.

To be honest, I tried to find out why or how? But the answers were difficult to grasp.

In the meantime, perhaps you can fill in the blanks as to why a goat was wandering around the school. It appeared to be on a leash, so I’m sure it was a supervised event for the most part.
