SoCo Rotary Club Raises Funds for Philippines Relief Efforts
Here's one way for local residents to give locally to help relief efforts in the Philippines.

The Rotary Club of Southern Anne Arundel County, in collaboration with Disaster Aid USA, is collecting donations to provide relief to those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Typhoon Haiyan ravaged the Philippines last week, washing away buildings and homes and killing thousands.
Disaster Aid USA is an organization that provides tents, lights, potable water, mosquito tents, tools and other supplies needed for survival to countries dealing with the aftermath of natural disasters.
"The scale of devastation makes it one of the worst storms ever recorded and emergency relief efforts continue," Rotary Club past president Cort Vitty said in an email to Patch. "Larry Agee, executive director of Disaster Aid USA, said the organization dispatched a response team after the recent earthquake. Now, the efforts are increasing in the aftermath of the typhoon.'
The Rotary club is collecting monetary donations in support of Disaster Aid USA's relief efforts. Credit card donations can be made online here, and check can be mailed to The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County, PO Box 131, Edgewater MD, 21037. Checks should be mad out to SAACRC, memo "DAUSA." One hundred percent of donations will go to the relief effort, according to Vitty.
