Southern High FFA Alumni Host 2nd Annual Car, Truck and Tractor Show
The second annual Car, Truck and Tractor Show on Saturday, April 18 will help benefit the Southern High School FFA Alumni Scholarship Fund.

The Southern High FFA Alumni are hosting their second annual Car, Truck and Tractor Show on Saturday, April 18 at the Green Turtle in Edgewater (3212 Solomons Island Rd.) to help benefit student scholarships.
What will the proceeds fund?
The proceeds from the show will fund scholarships and grants for students enrolled in Southern High’s agriculture sciences program.

Last year’s Car, Truck and Tractor show raised $4000 to help the students. The funds were used to offer our students grants to attend meaningful conferences with students from across the nation, as well as to create a scholarship for a 2015 Southern High graduate.

- Date: Saturday, April 18
- Registration: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Awards: 2:00 p.m.
- Awards: Trophies will be awarded to the top 30 and new this year, a FFA Student Choice trophy!
- Registration is $15.00 per participant.
- Other activities: Bake sale, plant sale, silent auction, door prizes and goody bags

Southern High School reignited its agriculture education program in 2011. Students enrolled in agriculture sciences courses also participate in the nation’s largest high school youth organization, the National FFA Organization (formerly known as Future Farmers of America). This organization makes a positive impact in the lives of students by developing their potential for premiere leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education.
