Play 18 Holes To Support South River Athletics

Golfers and South River sports fans will take part in a massive fundraising event on April 16 to support all Seahawks teams.

South River High's sports booster club is seeking golfers and sponsors to attend its second annual golf tournament at the on April 16.

Created as a massive fundraising event to benefit all athletic teams at , the golf tournament is the single biggest event of the year held by the high school sports boosters.

Sharon Puckett, a coordinator for the South River High sports booster committee, said participants don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy the event.

The day-long event will start with some time at the driving range, followed by a round at the . After lunch, golfers will participate in a shootout competition and then enjoy an awards banquet with a silent auction. Everyone with a ticket is welcome to the evening event, Puckett said.

The golf teams are split up with four individual players, but each must pay $175 to take part in the day-long festivities.

Businesses are encouraged to enjoy the day, with the opportunity to become one of the major sponsors of boosters club and become highly visible among the South River High community.
