Police and firefighters on Friday morning.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Chief Michael Cox said medics received a call of a reported open-water drowning just after 7 a.m. on Solomons Island Road.

Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said officers responded and found an unoccupied vehicle atop the bridge and a body in the water. Mulcahy said there was “nothing suspicious in nature” about the incident.
