No more teachers, no more books? Not for long.
Anne Arundel County will begin a new school year on Monday, August 26. That's when conferences begin for half-day pre-kindergarten, and early childhood students.
Grades 1-5, as well as 6 and 9 will open August 26. Some schools, listed below, will open on August 27 due to construction issues.
The rest of the student body in first through twelfth grade will return on August 27.
Here are the south county schools that will be opening late and its schedules:
- Central Middle will be open for sixth-graders on August 27, then seventh- and eighth-graders on August 28
- Southern Middle, like the two other middle schools affected, will welcome sixth-graders on August 27 followed by the rest of the student body will report
