Millersville Man Pleads Guilty to Craigslist Murder
A Baltimore man was shot and killed on Halloween 2013 during a robbery attempt tied to a fake Craigslist ad.

A Millersville man has pleaded guilty to the Halloween 2013 murder of a Baltimore man during an attempted robbery that began with a fake Craigslist ad.
On Oct. 31, 2013, Anne Arundel County police were called to a parking lot in the 7400 block of Railroad Avenue in Harmans around 7:45 p.m. for report of a shooting. Officers found Rene Leiva-Archila of Baltimore suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Leiva-Archila was pronounced dead at a local hospital, Patch previously reported.

Investigation revealed Lewis had used a fictional Craigslist ad on a car for sale to lure Leiva-Archila and his 19-year-old son to the parking lot. During an attempted robbery, Gregory reportedly shot and killed Leiva-Archila. Leiva-Archila’s son fled the scene and called police.

Development of a new witness by prosecutors led Lewis to plead guilty on Monday to first-degree murder and armed robbery, State’s Attorney Wes Adams said.
As part of the plea agreement, Lewis faces life in prison with all but 60 years suspended. Sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 18.
