Break-ins and Indecent Exposure: Howard County Crime Roundup

Ellicott City: Break-In
Just after 3 a.m. on July 10, a known suspect entered a residence on the 10100 block of Bracken Drive and stole a wallet. Police arrested the known suspect and charged him with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, theft and second-degree assault.

Just after 3:30 a.m. on July 8, an unknown number of suspects attempted to enter Waterloo Subway, on the 6000 block of University Boulevard, by breaking a front glass door, but failed to gain entry.

Around 3:30 a.m. on July 9, units responded to a call for a motorcycle theft in-progress. Police located the motorcycle and an accompanying vehicle in the area of U.S. 1 and MD 100. An officer stopped the accompanying vehicle, but not the motorcycle. Police arrested two people and charged them with motor vehicle theft, conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft, theft, possession of burglar’s tools, rogue and vagabond, malicious destruction of property, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and “various other charges.”
Elkridge: Commercial Break-In
Just after midnight on July 8, a witness reported a suspicious truck in the loading area of Lowes, on the 8200 block of Gateway Overlook Drive. Police discovered suspects had broken into storage trailers. Police arrested three suspects and charged them with fourth-degree burglary and two counts of theft.

Between 6:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on July 7, an unknown number of suspects pried open a rear basement door of a residence on the 8200 block of Cornerstone Way and stole jewelry.
Clarksville: Indecent Exposure
Just after noon on July 8, an unknown suspect exposed himself near the intersection of Guilford Road and Hall Shop Road.
Jessup: Commercial Break-In
Between 4 p.m. on July 8 and 8 a.m. the next day, an unknown number of suspects broke a side glass door of Renovo Services, on the 7400 block of Washington Boulevard, ransacked the business and stole three computers.
Columbia: Break-In
Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on July 8, an unknown number of suspects broke a rear sliding glass door and ransacked a residence on the 5400 block of Hound Hill Court. One bottled beverage was stolen.

Between 11 p.m. on July 8 and 9 p.m. on July 10, an unknown number of suspects forced open the front door of a residence on the 10800 block of Green Mountain Circle and stole a laptop and cash.

Shortly before 4 p.m. on July 7, a known suspect entered uninvited into a residence on the 7300 block of Broken Staff, refused to leave and stole a video game.
Columbia: Attempted Robbery
On July 10, just before 5 a.m., two unknown suspects displayed a knife and demanded cash from a cab driver after being transported from Baltimore to the 6600 block of Cradlerock Way. The cab driver refused and the suspects fled.

Between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. on July 8, an unknown number of suspects broke a side glass door of Wendy’s, on the 6600 block of Dobbin Road, stole two empty register drop boxes and tampered with a safe.

On July 8, at 4 a.m., an unknown number of suspects broke a side glass door of Mango Grove, on the 6300 block of Dobbin Road, and stole cash. Police said the incident might be related to the Wendy’s break-in.

Around 10:30 a.m. a break-in was reported at a residence on the 11800 block of New Country Lane.

Before 1 p.m. on July 7, two unknown suspects were exposed in a public gazebo near the 10000 block of Windstream Drive.
North Laurel: Commercial Break-In
On July 10, at 3:30 a.m., an unknown number of suspects broke a front glass door of Global Health Pharmacy, on the 7500 block of Montepelier Road, pried open a medicine cabinet and stole prescription drugs.
North Laurel: Break-In
Between July 2 and July 7, an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 7800 block of McIver Road through the rear sliding glass door and stole a television.
Fulton: Break-In
Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on June 29, an unknown number of suspects entered a pool house at a residence on the 14800 block of Chestnut Court and stole a painting.
