Fatal Collision Under Investigation By MD Attorney General After Police Car Seen In Area

The state attorney general's office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash after the HCPD saw a police car from another town in the area.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General has opened an investigation into a fatal collision that happened in North Laurel Aug. 10.

During the preliminary investigation, the Howard County Police Department reported to the IID that a police cruiser from an unnamed jurisdiction had been seen traveling near the scene of the collision. At this time, the IID is working to confirm the law enforcement agency linked to the involved police cruiser.

At approximately 4:10 a.m. on Aug. 10, a 2021 Suzuki GSX-S750 motorcycle was traveling north on Washington Boulevard just past Lynn Buff Court when it hit a truck making a left turn onto southbound Washington Boulevard. The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the truck were uninjured, according to the Howard County Police Department.
