Firefighter Returns Home From Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

A Howard County firefighter has returned home after helping with Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Firefighter Christopher Thompson has returned from his deployment to North Carolina to help with Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Thompson is a member on the Maryland Task Force-1 and Maryland Army National Guard Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team. Team members helped with search and rescue missions, and food and water drop-offs during their assignments.

Currently, there are five additional MDTF-1 members from Howard County deployed to help with Hurricane Milton.
