Learn More About East Columbia Library Park Plans At Meeting
A public meeting later this month will highlight plans for the East Columbia Library Park.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Learn more about the plans for the East Columbia Library Park at a public meeting Aug. 27 starting at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks Headquarters, conference rooms #1 & #2, at 7120 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia. There will be a presentation given on the park renovation design and after the presentation, the public can share thoughts and ask questions.
In the plans, residents will see that Howard County officials want to reduce the number of fields to two. The new fields will be irrigated natural-turf multipurpose fields. Also, the county will create a playground, build a new pavilion and construct two lighted basketball courts. Pathways and water fountains also will be included, the plans indicate.
