Traffic Alert: Main Street

A broken water pipe on Main Street will be fixed at 2 a.m. tomorrow morning, according to Howard County Public Works.

Fixing the break, on the public part of the pipe, would shut off water to at least one business on the busy street, so repairs will be put off until business is closed.

"We don't want to inconvenience someone," Anthony Rocco, in the construction maintenance department said.  "Especially on a Friday."

Earlier today, water was flowing onto the sidewalks near the eastern end of Main Street.
